Availability for next Saturday?

I've tried everywhere and it's no use, I can't find availability for next Saturday, my romantic weekend is off to a bad start...

Why is it so hard to find accommodation next Saturday?

Do you like Muse, DM, or Mylène Farmer? When a concert date is announced, 80,000 tickets sell in less than 15 minutes? Well, in our business, it's almost the same. The best accommodations are snapped up. You should know that there are far more lovers in France than Muse fans... yes! Fortunately, there are plenty of other days to enjoy the same show, with the Backstages included ;-)

I can't find accommodation for next Saturday

It seems strange but that's how it is, loverooms are generally highly sought after on Saturday evenings. I say strange because, ultimately, it's not always the best option. In fact, you should know that most of the time, Sunday is not always the best day to end your romantic weekend. First, on Sunday, most shops are closed... it will be difficult to find a nice table for lunch. Moreover, the end of an idyllic weekend combined with the Sunday night blues, what a downer...

So when should you go for a romantic getaway?

The best recommendation we can give you is to use some RTT (reduction of working time) or other paid leave to fully enjoy it. It's really worth it. After all, we all have a few days to take off, and our significant other deserves it.

If you compare a trip to Disneyland on July 15th and March 15th... first, to stay there on July 15th, you'll have to plan ahead. Then, you'll spend a good part of your time in queues to finally do 2 or 3 attractions (not necessarily the best ones or those you had planned). On March 15th, on the other hand, you'll find it easier to find space, there will be far fewer people, and you'll be able to do all the attractions you want... Ultimately, which day will create the most good memories? Not to mention that you will also have paid less than in high season!!! It's exactly the same for your romantic weekend!

First, you should know that weekday evenings are much cheaper than Saturday evenings, which allows you to enjoy, for the same budget, a candlelight dinner or an early arrival. Moreover, it might also be easier to have the children watched by grandma and grandpa on a weekday evening (since they retired, they are busy every weekend :-).

Moreover, weekday mornings are punctuated by small local attractions such as certain visits, museums, or traditional markets. Perfect for enhancing your romantic stay. Unlike Sunday, which always carries its little hint of melancholy or nostalgia.

What if I can't do anything other than Saturday night?

Too bad, but in that case, you'll need two essential qualities:

Patience and organization.

And yes, if you absolutely want to book for a Saturday night, you'll need to be very organized because you'll have to plan several weeks (or even several months) in advance. The best accommodations don't even have Saturday nights available this year (and it's February).

If it's for an anniversary, it's easy, it comes back every year at the same time

In summary, your romantic stay needs to be organized well in advance, but keep in mind that a good break in the middle of the week will remain etched in your memories for a long time and will be extremely beneficial for getting you out of your daily routine, and with a nice break in the middle of the week, the time will seem so short until the weekend :-)
