Southeast of Marseille, where limestone cliffs plunge into deep blue waters, lies one of Europe's most striking landscapes. The Calanques of Marseille form a unique territory: wild, preserved, a world away from urban hustle and bustle—yet just minutes from the city center. Choosing a private suite in this area means combining the power of a vast natural space with the hushed silence of accommodation entirely designed for two.
Love'nSpa has selected exceptional love rooms for you in the immediate vicinity of the massif, so that your romantic getaway begins as soon as you arrive in your cocoon—and continues to the end of the limestone paths.

The Calanques National Park was officially created on April 18, 2012 — it is now the only European park that is simultaneously peri-urban, terrestrial, insular, and marine. It extends over a coastal massif made up of limestone cliffs and coves that constitute relatively preserved ecosystems for many living species. Its protected core covers 8,500 hectares of land between La Ciotat and Marseille, with an additional 43,500 hectares at sea.
In this exceptional territory located in the Bouches-du-Rhône department , in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region , there are no less than 28 calanques of varying sizes—25 in the commune of Marseille, 1 in the commune of Cassis, and 2 in the commune of La Ciotat. Each has its own character: Sormiou with its fishermen's cabins, Morgiou with its port nestled between the cliffs, En-Vau with its dizzying walls plunging into emerald water, or Sugiton, nicknamed "the Instagram of the calanques" for its contrasts of white and blue.
Below the surface, the spectacle continues. The Posidonia seagrass bed is an endemic marine plant in the Mediterranean; colonies of red coral have developed on the rocky seabed, while gorgonians cling to the sides of the walls. Offshore, dolphins of various species evolve, sometimes accompanied by a fin whale. A world apart, accessible by kayak, diving, or simply by looking overboard from a small boat.
A love room in the Calanques of Marseille is far from a transient accommodation. It is a space entirely reserved for your couple, designed to extend the intensity of the outdoor landscapes into an interior that echoes them: raw materials, mineral tones, natural light playing on rock and wood. The architecture evokes shepherd's shelters and calanque cabins—but reinterpreted with all the comfort of a contemporary private spa.
The facilities of our partner suites transform every hour spent together into a special moment:
The massif offers much more than panoramas. The Calanques National Park stretches over twenty kilometers from Marseille to the town of Cassis, and every kilometer holds a surprise. Here are a few ideas to build your getaway:
Mark a milestone in your history in a setting that belongs only to the two of you—the cliffs of the calanques at daybreak, then returning to your suite with a private spa.
Few places in France combine such natural intensity and intimacy. The Calanque d'En-Vau at sunset, then your private suite: a perfect setting for this unique moment.
Extend the emotion of your big day in a bridal suite, just minutes from the wildest coves of the Mediterranean.
Sometimes, the best reason to leave is simply needing to. A love room in the Calanques of Marseille is the perfect break—raw nature outside, an absolute cocoon inside.
