Love Room Valensole Plateau — Private Suite in the Land of Lavender

Imagine waking up in the heart of a purple ocean, the air saturated with the scent of lavender, miles away from noise and bustle. Perched at an altitude of 500 meters between the Durance Valley and the Verdon Gorges, the Valensole Plateau is one of the most enchanting territories in all of Provence. Reserving a private suite here is offering yourself more than just a romantic night: it's a total immersion in a landscape that time seems to have preserved especially for lovers.

Love'nSpa has selected for you exceptional love rooms on the Valensole Plateau and its immediate surroundings — accommodations entirely designed for couples, far from classic hotel standards.

Love Room Plateau de Valensole

A private suite on the Valensole Plateau: the antidote to the ordinary

What distinguishes a love room from a simple charming accommodation is its intimate relationship with space. Self-check-in, total privatization of the premises, well-being equipment integrated into the suite: you have no corridors to share, no schedules to follow. Once the door is closed, the plateau stretches out before you — its rows of bluish lavender, its almond trees, the tranquil gold of the wheat fields — and the rest of the world naturally fades away.

The suites we list in this region play with local architecture: dry stone, warm tones, natural materials, generous openings onto the landscape. Contemporary comfort discreetly slips in — home automation, premium bedding, private spa — without ever breaking the harmony with the Provençal environment that surrounds them.

The amenities that make the difference

Private Jacuzzi or balneotherapy bath

Available at any time in your suite, the jetted bath is the heart of your romantic evening. Massage jets, chromotherapy, water maintained at ideal temperature: after a day exploring the plateau's trails or strolling through Valensole's narrow streets, returning to this cocoon is a given.

High-end bedding and complete privacy

King-size beds, fine linen, memory foam mattresses: rest is an integral part of the experience. Living room, fully equipped kitchen, private terrace with views of the fields — each suite offers a degree of freedom and discretion that traditional hotels cannot offer.

Private sauna or sensory shower

Several addresses on the plateau offer an infrared sauna or a rain-effect shower with chromotherapy, ideal for extending relaxation after a mountain bike ride on the marked trails or a kayak outing on Lake Esparron-de-Verdon, just a few minutes' drive away.

Immersive decor

Each suite has its own universe, often rooted in the identity of the territory: raw materials, lavender and ocher hues, vegetal references. Modular lighting scenarios transform the space according to your moods — intimate, festive, or simply gentle.

The Valensole Plateau: a unique romantic setting in France

Located in the department of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, the Valensole Plateau stretches over nearly 800 km² between Manosque and Digne-les-Bains. It is the largest lavender growing area in France, and probably one of the most photographed in the world — for good reason.

The village of Valensole itself takes its name from the Latin Vallis Solis, the valley of the sun, and proudly boasts over 300 days of sunshine per year. Built in an amphitheater on a hill, it is dominated by the 11th-century Saint-Blaise church, whose Romanesque Provençal facade and Gothic choir tell eleven centuries of local history. The narrow streets wind upwards, fountains flow in the shade of plane trees, and lavender honey and essential oil shops fill the air of each small square.

The plateau changes its appearance with the seasons. In March, the almond trees are covered with white and pink blossoms — an often underestimated spectacle, as moving as the lavender. From mid-June to mid-July, the explosion of blue and violet invades the horizon as far as the eye can see, punctuated by the geometric rows of fields and the gold of interspersed wheat. In autumn, the plowed lands take on ocher hues that contrast with a remarkably pure sky. There is no bad season to come here as a couple.

Around the plateau, the surroundings further expand the possibilities: the Verdon Gorges and Lake Sainte-Croix less than 40 minutes away, the thermal baths of Gréoux-les-Bains 20 minutes away, the medieval village of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie with its faience and its suspended chapel, or Saint-Jurs, perched at the end of a winding road with a particularly striking panoramic view of the plateau at sunset.

For what occasions should you book your love room on the Valensole Plateau?

Anniversary or Valentine's Day

Marking a milestone in your story in such a unique landscape, between clear sky and endless fields, gives this moment a dimension that few city hotels can rival.

Marriage proposal

The sunset over the lavender rows from the Saint-Jurs viewpoint, then returning to your suite with private jacuzzi: it's hard to imagine a more perfect setting for this unique moment.

Wedding night or mini-moon

Extend the emotion of your big day in a bridal suite with a private spa, within immediate reach of a generous territory — hiking, kayaking, gastronomy, thermalism — for days as intense as your nights.

Reconnect weekend

Sometimes, the best reason to go away is simply to feel calm together again. A love room on the Valensole Plateau, accessible in less than two hours from Marseille, Aix-en-Provence, or Nice, offers this break without having to cross half the country.
